Password reset for Webassessor not working

Issue

Cannot log into webassessor. Using forgot password option does not work as no email is received.

Cause

Barracuda token issue - This is a known error when using a protected email address. Many times companies include protection services like Barracuda which checks email links before allowing the email to hit your inbox. In this case, the system checks the reset password link, finds it to work, sends the email to you, and then the link has already been used.

Resolution

There are 2 ways around this issue: 

  1. Lower the email security.
  2. Use a more open-source email address like Gmail or Yahoo which does not check for embedded email links. 

Companies generally don’t allow users to lower email security. If this is the case for you, please raise a case providing a personal email address so we can update your webassessor account email, and resend a password reset email.
