Sending Invitation for ServiceNow Friends and Family

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to grant access to our Now Learning On-Demand catalog. The RiseUp with ServiceNow - Friends and Family Program allows ServiceNow Knowledge 2023 attendees the ability to grant access to our Now Learning On-Demand catalog for free to one family member or close friend.

Instructions

Fill out and Send an Invitation

If you have received an email invitation describing the RiseUp with ServiceNow - Friends and Family Program, use the following steps to send an invitation to your chosen friend or family: 

  1. Your invitation email contains a direct link to the Friends and Family Landing page: https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp?id=fandf_landing
  2. Click on the link. The RiseUp with ServiceNow - Friends and Family Program page displays.

  3. Log into Now Learning at https://nowlearning.service-now.com/lxp.
    IMPORTANT: If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. For instructions Refer to Create an Account in Now Learning.
  4. Once you create an account or if you already have one, go to step 5. 
  5. Click on the User Profile Menu. The profile menu is on the top right of the screen with your initials or image. A list of available links displays.

  6. Select RiseUp - Friends and Family Invitations from the menu list. The Friends and Family program page displays.

  7. Select the Send Invitation button. The Friends and Family Invitation form displays.
  8. Enter the name of your invited member, and their email address.
    IMPORTANT: If "Please use a different email address. The entered email is either already used for this program, is an inactive user account in Now Learning, or is associated with a company that has training entitlements in Now Learning." displays when entering the recipient's email address, refer to the Please Use a Different Email Address Message When Sending Friends and Family Invitation for assistance.
  9. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions.
    NOTE: After reviewing the Terms and Conditions the submit button will become enabled.
  10. Select the Submit button. An email will be sent to your recipient with instructions asking them to create an account within Now Learning if they don't already have one.

Recipient Instructions

NOTE: The instructions below are for reference only. 

  1. The recipient will check their email inbox for the invitation and instructions.
  2.  They will follow the instructions on the email.

Review State of Invitations 

You may view your invitations and the state of those invitations on the Employee Landing page which you used when sending an invitation. 
NOTE: If you sent an invitation to someone using the wrong email address, select Cancel Request button. You will notice that the state of the invitation will become Canceled and you will be given that invitation back for a future invitation to offer. 

After your invited guest has accepted the invitation, please consider reaching out to them and sharing information about this program and offering to help them enroll in their first Now Learning On-Demand Course!
