What is a credential?

A credential is an achievement an individual obtains when completing an assessment to prove knowledge and skills. At ServiceNow, we offer different credentialing types: accreditations, micro-certifications, certifications, and expert programs

 

Why get a credential?

Credentials prove your knowledge of ServiceNow platform features, demonstrate proficiency with technical skills, and showcase your expertise. Credentials offer a competitive advantage, professional influence, industry recognition, and improve your productivity and results.

 

Types of Credentials:

Mainline Certification

Maintain your Credentials - DELTA EXAM

Delta Exams keep your skills and knowledge current with each ServiceNow release. Our Mainline Certification holders must complete delta exams to maintain an active credential status. Select Learn More to review the Delta Exam requirement:

**Delta Exams are not proctored, administered in ServiceNow University and are about 20 questions or less. The Credential Maintenance Fee is a fee assessed to all Mainline Certification holders to be eligible for Delta Exams. The annual fee occurs during the second half of the year and is invoiced once regardless of the number of Mainline Certifications held. Micro Certification

Prove your level of proficiency with technical skills on ServiceNow specialty products or desired outcomes through knowledge checks and practical application assessments. The assessments are non-proctored, narrowly focused on the specified topic, and cover a smaller scope than the Mainline Certifications. **Micro-Credentials never expire; however, if additional requirements are added, credential holders must complete the additional requirement for their credentials to remain valid.

Accreditations

Emerging Accreditations - These accreditations are offered to anyone interested in a delivery role. Accreditation is granted after passing a short non-proctored set of exams that proves technical knowledge and skills utilizing new ServiceNow Platform features and products. These exams are short, updated as the product develops, and evaluated to become either a Micro-Certification or Mainline Certification. Expert Programs
