Instructions

Protecting Your Investment

The ServiceNow Certification team has partnered with a leading certification security vendor and our own legal team to develop a robust security program that identifies and acts on individuals that do not abide by our legal agreements and policies.

Our security program focuses on protecting our test content as it is proprietary and confidential. In addition, to protect your investment in our program we identify test takers that test outside our acceptable testing parameters and do not take an exam on their own. Individuals that do not take an exam on their own misrepresent having the skills or knowledge, therefore, we act by invalidating their certification. Our reputable program strives to only certify those with validated skills and knowledge so the certification remains meaningful to all stakeholders.

Test Security Policy and Legal Agreements

Each certification candidate must comply with and acknowledge the following policies:

Certification candidates are required to review and accept the agreements within ServiceNow University. In addition, the policies can be accessed from the Certification Candidate Journey Guide in the Accept the Certification Program Exam Administration and Security Policies lesson. Failure to adhere to the policies may result in disciplinary actions. In addition, reference the ServiceNow Certification Program Legal Agreements and Policies.

Invalidation Process

Our security vendor analyzes the results of all certification exams completed in a specified period. Based on the results of this analysis, the ServiceNow Certification Program identifies which candidates had results that fall outside of the acceptable parameters. Each month, we take the following actions to invalidate certifications:

Certification status

The certification status in ServiceNow University will be changed from current to revoked. An expiration date will be entered that matches the date of the certification invalidation email.

Appeals Process or Dispute Decision

The reliability of the analysis performed by our certification security vendor is legally defensible, therefore, our decision is final and will not be reverted.

Per Section 11.1 of our Legal Agreement for Mainline Certifications accepted by each test taker, we reserve the right to not disclose the evidence leading to exam invalidation. There is no additional information we can provide or actions that we can take.

Should you desire to retain your certification exam, follow the instructions in the next section.

Re-enroll the Certification Program

Certification invalidation does not mean you are banned from the program. However, should you have another certification exam invalidated at any point, you will be suspended for a minimum of 1-year from the ServiceNow Certification Program and have all current certifications revoked. You would need to re-earn your certification following your suspension.

We encourage you to follow all acceptable testing parameters and register your exam.

  • It is not required that you repeat training, however, it is highly recommended.
  • Login to ServiceNow University and schedule your exam appointment. For more information, see Registering for a Pearson VUE exam
