1. What is ArchX?

Architecture Excellence (ArchX) is a cohort-based learning program that will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to excel as an architect in the ServiceNow ecosystem. This four-week cohort-based program combines self-paced learning, application activities, and cohort engagement, requiring a time commitment of 8-12 hours weekly. The program covers topics such as architecture standards, ServiceNow methodologies and frameworks, and change management for ServiceNow. As a member of the cohort, learners will apply their learning to real-world scenarios. 

 

2. Who is this program for? 

Architecture Excellence (ArchX) is tailored for individuals with 1 - 3 years of experience who are earlier in their architect career journeys or experienced professionals looking to transition into architecture roles. 

Whether you're seeking to enhance your existing skills or pivot into the architecture field, ArchX equips you with the foundational knowledge and expertise necessary to succeed as a ServiceNow architect. 

 

3. What are the prerequisites for the ArchX program? 

Participants must have their Certified System Administrator credential, and at least one Certified Implementation Specialist credential is recommended. 

 

4. What is the difference between Architectural Excellence and the Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA) program? 

ArchX is a foundational program that covers the cornerstones of architectural excellence. It is designed for Architects early in their architect career, who have 1 -3 years of experience and are earlier in their architect career journeys than a CTA or CMA.

 

5. What is the time duration of the program? 

It is a 4-week program which is virtual cohort based. Expect to spend 8-12 hours per week consuming the learning materials, completing assignments, and engaging with other cohort participants.

 

6. Is it an Instructor-Led Program? 

No, this is a virtual program with no set live meeting times. Self-paced content is released each week, and you will complete it based on your schedule within the 4-week time frame. There will be a moderator and a ServiceNow SME that you will engage with via discussion boards and comments. Therefore, the program is available across all time zones and global locations.  

 

7. What is the cost of the program? 

$2500 USD with no discounts available. Payment can be made via learning credits or credit card. Learning credits must equal the full value of the program, so if you have purchased the learning credits with a discount, this will be reconciled to cover the full value of the program. 

 

8. What are the maximum number of seats? 

The total number of seats is 100 with a waitlist of 10

 

9. What are the program dates?

10. How do I get off the waitlist? 

Getting enrolled from waitlist is dependent on any candidate dropping out from the course. 

 

11. I tried enrolling however the seats are all sold and the waitlist is also showing full at the moment. How may I enroll for the program?

12. I have enrolled in ArchX. What next?

You will receive an email with more information about your upcoming class, including estimated time requirements and information on class resources, 14 business days before the class start date.

 

13. Does this program have a certification? 

No, in this program you will earn an accreditation, which provides the necessary foundation for all future Architect and Expert Program level programs. 

 

14. Is there any maintenance required of the accreditation? 

No, this accreditation does not require any maintenance.  

 

15. How do I access the Architecture Excellence content once I have completed the program? 

You will receive an email from ServiceNow University with a link to an alumni course where you can access the e-Learning modules. Please allow 3 business days from your program completion to receive this email. 

 

16. What is a cohort-based program? 

A cohort-based program is a structured learning experience where a group of learners progress through the program together. This approach fosters a sense of community, collaboration, and support among participants as they engage in shared activities, discussions, and learning objectives. The ArchX program will have fixed start and end dates, allowing participants to form bonds, exchange ideas, and grow together over the duration of the program. As part of the cohort there will also be an Expert Programs Producer who will moderate and provide opportunities to engage, as well as a ServiceNow SME available to answer questions. 

 

17. What are the class timings for Architecture Excellence?

18. Is Architecture Excellence (ArchX) a pre-requisite for for 2026 CTA program registration?

Yes, All CTA cohorts that start in 2026 will require successful completion of the ArchX program as a prerequisite. To meet the prerequisite, learners must pass the ArchX final exam and earn ArchX accreditation.
Note: CTA cohorts beginning in 2025 will not require ArchX.
